The scariest moment of the game as Cliff Floyd tumbled coming across the plate, and landed hard, holding his knee for several moments before gingerly getting to his feet. Floyd stayed in the game and showed no signs of any lingering pain. (FULL STORY)

Floyd went 1-for-5 in his final season game with the Mets. He singled in the sixth, then struck out in his last at-bat. The crowd of 23,856 gave Floyd a standing ovation as he left the field in the ninth inning. He will have surgery on his right Achilles tendon at the end of the month in order to be ready by Spring Training. I wish you a speedy, succesful and safe recovery. One Luv Clifford!

Cliff Floyd swung a bat Thursday afternoon and remains hopeful that his achy right wrist will improve enough for him to return to the lineup before the All-Star break. The slugger cautioned, however, that while his wrist is feeling better, the progress he's making is not as dramatic as the improvement he felt earlier in the week.

Cliff Floyd missed Monday's game after his wrist became too painful to play, and the outfielder could be sidelined through the All-Star break. Floyd first suffered the injury on June 11 during batting practice and then aggravated it while diving for a ball on Sunday.
