An MRI on Cliff Floyd's right quad found just a strain - as opposed to a significant tear, as originally feared. Floyd was put on the 15-day DL - and he wasn't exactly thrilled.
"I'm mad as hell," said Floyd, who had hoped to avoid a DL stint. "I was trying to be out there in a couple days."

Cliff Floyd swung a bat Thursday afternoon and remains hopeful that his achy right wrist will improve enough for him to return to the lineup before the All-Star break. The slugger cautioned, however, that while his wrist is feeling better, the progress he's making is not as dramatic as the improvement he felt earlier in the week.

Day off for the Mets and many other teams. The Mets showed they can kick Braves butts. The Expos aren't good this days. They lost 6 on 7 games. I hope when they will play in Puerto Rico, they will start to win some games! Vladimir will be back from his injury!
